How preorders work
Some StratMeta products are made in planned production batches. This allows us to offer more colours, sizes and product options without holding unnecessary stock.

Payment is taken when the preorder is placed.

Your item is ordered during the next production run.

We’ll keep you informed as your preorder progresses.
What does “preorder” mean?
If a product option is not currently held in stock, you may be able to preorder it. This means the item will be ordered for you as part of an upcoming supplier batch rather than dispatched immediately.
Your preorder applies to the exact product options you selected, such as the colour, size and print placement.
What happens after you preorder?
Your order moves through the following stages:
Place and pay for your order
Payment is taken when you place the preorder. This confirms your order and adds the selected product option to the appropriate production batch.
Your preorder joins an open batch
The batch remains open while orders are collected for that product. Preorder items are not held in stock and are not available for immediate dispatch.
The batch is submitted to the supplier
When the ordering window closes, StratMeta places the batch order with the supplier. You’ll be notified when this happens.
Production begins
The supplier prepares and produces the items included in the batch. Production times can vary depending on the product and supplier availability.
Your item arrives at StratMeta
Once the batch arrives, each item is checked and your order is prepared for dispatch.
Your order is dispatched
You’ll receive a shipping confirmation when your order is on its way, including tracking details where available.
How long will my preorder take?
Preorders take longer than in-stock purchases because production begins after the batch is submitted to the supplier.
Any estimated dispatch date provided is a guide based on current supplier lead times. If a significant delay affects your order, StratMeta will contact you.
Why does StratMeta use production batches?
Batch production allows us to offer a wider choice of products, colours and sizes while reducing unsold stock and unnecessary overproduction. It gives customers more choice while keeping production controlled and intentional.
Can I cancel or return a preorder?
If you want to cancel a preorder before it is dispatched, please contact StratMeta as soon as possible.
Placing an order through the preorder system does not remove your statutory rights. Standard, non-personalised products purchased online can normally be cancelled within the applicable cancellation period. Personalised or custom-made products may be excluded from change-of-mind cancellations.
Your rights relating to faulty, damaged or incorrectly described products are not affected.
How will I be kept updated?
